Remember, that li'l sparrow?
How in the morning
she used to come chirping in the courtyard.
Mother used to feed her with grains,
she used to bring her fellows along with her.
All day long, I could see her flying and hopping around.
Between the rings below the roof
was her home.
On the call of her children,
Used to fly away with mouth full of grain to feed them.
Behind the house was a lemon tree
I wonder what chirps she set there with her friends.
She was a part of our life.
But for the few years passed, the city displeases her.
She flew away in anger,
She has gone out of sight these days.
My granny says, she still comes in the village
Jolly as always, hopping around.
Do you remember that li'l sparrow?
